I was sorting out a box under my crafting desk and was pleasantly pleased to find a bag from a training I went too a year ago. Training is something that I love to go to and you learn lots of new techniques as well as sharing your crafting ideas with others and getting great ideas from other demonstrators.
The box lid is covered with flowers made using the Bouquet Big :L Die - a great die that I got to try at training and is now on my wish list!
The photo does not do it justice at all!
A great die that you can cut multiple petals at once because it is a big die - really helps you with time!
Hope you like it.

Festive Flower Builder punch - great alternative use!
I showed you a few days ago how to use the Festive Flower Builder punch to get outlined petals - well in these cards I took it a bit further.
For the top card I just used the outline petals, and I think it looks really lovely.
The bottom one used the solid petals underneath and the outlined ones on top - lovely too I think! and much better view in the picture below,
I hope you like these cards and the new tip for using the Festive Builder Punch - if you'd like the punch and can wait a few days I have a fantastic offer starting next Wednesday - only from me, not Stampin' Up or any other demonstrator.

No red in sight..it must be Valentine's Day!
I have decided to go against the grain and try something a bit different for Valentines this year...yep no red in sight.
I love these little 3 x 3 cards, and you get 8 out of a 12x12 piece so good use of cardstock.
Some have the heart stuck on, and others have the heart cut out and the cardbase is the decorated part. I love the swirl on the hearts and this comes from my current favourite set Everything Eleanor!
Mats on cards help add both height as well as, I think, helping to focus your eye and gives that extra something to a card.
I have not really used embossing a lot so decided to give it a go and was pleasantly pleased with the effect. The photo doesn't show up the shine as much as it does in real life but the top left card gives you a hint of how shiny it is. Beautiful!
My son loved the idea of embossing so the first thing he asked when up around 6am was could he have a go....how can you say no to that? So a little after 6am this morning my son and I were crafting!
Hope that you have some time this weekend to indulge in your passion whatever it might be. I am hoping to sneak in a little bit more crafting.
Cheers

Festive Flower Builder Punch - not just for Christmas!
When I first saw this punch I fell in love with it! It was in the Christmas catalogue and made the most beautiful poinsettias- but I did wonder if it would make other flowers and it does!
I love the versatility of Stampin' Up! punches and things are not what they seem at first glance.
This Thank You card was very simple to make and I love how the bottom petals are just outlines and show through the lovely new paper from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper pack, a really lovely paper pack that won't break the bank!
You might think that the outlined petals are difficult to do - well they're not actually.
Firstly you punch out the small petal, making sure you have some card around the outline - so don't try and scrimp on your paper here!

Then you take the punched piece and line up the punched out piece in the large petal- make sure it looks an even amount of paper all around.
The punched out piece on the left and then slid into the punch |
And there you have the outlined petal - so easy and I think it looks lovely.
Might have to experiment in the next few days and see what other types of flowers can be made with this idea.
