Baby Cards - using punches differently

Well I don't often have the opportunity to complete such a fanastic project, but with a couple of friends having babies thought I would take the opportunity to create a few different cards....am sure you can find loads of examples on the internet but just in case you haven't seen them - aren't these cute and so simple to make.

Can you pick how the dresses and trousers were made?  that's right the owl punch , not just for owls.

The dresser bottom is made with the Decorative label punch - pretty clever I think.

Anyway if you have any of your baby cards you've made please share them or please use these ideas to make your own.

Festival of Trees and Feastive Flurry

Guess with Christmas so near the card competitions are beginning to come.  I wanted to share with you what my two boys made to enter the local Christmas Card competition.

Aren't they brillant! If I say so myself.

My 7 year old loves crafting and in fact he is the one who introduced me to Stampin' Up! really when he fell in love with the bird punch.  He loved making the card below and really enjoyed stamping the different coloured decorations on the Christmas Tree.

This effect is so simple to do and the Festival of Trees set is the most fanatatic set to create different trees so easily and it comes in a bundle - with the punch and stamp - even better!!  The light string comes from another great set the Holiday Home.  Both the sets are photopolymer which means it is really easy to see where to line up the decorations.

The tree card was CASED from a kiwi demonstrator Paula Reid - some lovely stuff from down under and my home country - sometimes wish I was there as summer is coming!

My older son wanted to use silver and red and snowflakes so he completed this entry using the now retired (sorry!!) Festive Flurry dies.

 Aren't they both brillant!!

Isn't it hard when you see something you like and can no longer get the products!!! I know !!!! But my advise is when you see something buy it as it won't be there forever and the Autumn/Winter Stampin' Up! catalogue is only around for a little while longer - why not have a look and see what you are missing by not buying for yourself.

Get in touch. leave a comment or even host a fantastic Christmas Crafting Party in your own home.

It's a bit like Spring

It's hard to believe that it is already the 1st of November.  The weather here in the UK is absolutely gorgeous, and because of that I have decided to do a spring like flower card to celebrate.   It is really simple to do and yet looks so effective.

It is so simple to make, and have to admit saw it somewhere else, sorry can't remember where.

First stamp a series of flowers down the side of a sheet- choose colours that you like and stamp where ever you like - remember however this is going to do down the side or across the bottom of your card so try and make it easy on yourself as you are going to cut, yes sorry, cut around it.  I choose the Flower Shop set as I love these flowers.

Then roughly cut around the line of flowers, stamp a few more and cut these out with the matching Pansy punch and also cut about an inch of the card....simple isn't it.

Then layer the card as you desire- stick the long piece on first and then add the single flowers to add depth - as you see I only used two of the individual flowers and then added a sentiment and volia a nice summery card to celebrate the sun in November!

A few other designs......

Hope there is a little bit of sun shining wherever you are.
