I love the layered look, but always thought it was a slight waste of paper as you only see a portion of some pieces of paper. So I thought what about this; am sure I am not the inventor of this trick but I really love how you can use the covered layers to get some lovely shapes to add to the cards...or save for later.

Cut out shapes from the piece that won't be seen |

Add the top layer |

Then put the card together; and voilà, the layered look whilst utilising paper- don't forget the sparkle! |
