Another bloghop from a wonderful group of Stampin'Up! lovers. Yes, I'm sure the others in the hop will agree we LOVE Stampin' Up! From their fantastic products, wonderful customer service to their events for demonstrators!
This time of year however, is bittersweet for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator as we are farwelling products we have fallen in love with, some have been like old friends, there forever, others newer friends BUT we also know that just around the corner is lots of new friends! Yes the new 2017/18 catalogue goes live 1st June, and yes as a demo I've had a chance to order some newbies already, and yes new friends are being made swiftly!!
Anyway on to today's card made with retiring products where we can send our friends off in style.
I loved this stamp set when I first saw it, even the name Love Sparkles. From the font to the sentiments to the little stars , it was a wonderful versatile set. I also loved the Star Framelits, all the different sizes, and as for the ribbon, I have to say I am a little bit devastated! But I know I'll soon find a new favourite and I'm sure you will too!
Guess you also can't have a leaving party without farewelling the outgoing In-colours. They however weren't a shock as we know when they arrived that their time with us would be limited; still going to miss them though. I've used Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder in this card today and love them together.
I hope you've enjoyed my project and please hop along to see everyone else's fond farewell to some favourite friends.

What a shame they have to retire products. The star shape is such a classic and versatile shape, and the ribbon is gorgeous and also very versatile.
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter note there are lots of new goodies coming. But am really going to miss that ribbon.
DeleteGreat card Sarah, I especially love the background stamping. I'm also devastated about the Stars Framelits. How could they do this to us?! Thanks for organising such a great hop. x
ReplyDeleteI know! Hope you enjoyed the hop.
DeleteI think we all might be a little shell shocked over the retiring list this year, lol. I have a shameful confession...I loved the look of this set but I don't think any of my images ever saw ink :-O So, I'm doubly devastated to see it go. I love your color combo, and how you stamped the little detailed stars onto the die cut shapes. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI loved it and got it as soon as I could but wasn't loved as much as some! A few surprises but can look forward to new goodies now!
DeleteEvery year I'm shocked about what is leaving but every year there are more than enough beautiful new products that fill the gaps. However I wouldn't mind if watermelon wonder will come back. It's my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteYour card is a perfect example for a quick and easy but still very pretty project. Well done!
Thank you. I find this a hard time of year, but as you say SU is giving us lots of new products to love. I miss Blackberry Bliss and still have one piece hidden!
DeleteLove the card, stars, ribbon...everything! You did a fabulous job!
