Welcome to the 11th Bloghop of Global Stamping Friends - a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.
This month the theme was not the easiest for me. I love Christmas but generally just reach for one of the wonderful Stampin' Up! seasonal stamps. This time though I had to think a bit more and think outside the box! Our theme was to make a holiday card, and it could have been any holiday, whilst using a non-traditional stamp set...not the easiest when Stampin' Up! have wonderful sets for all of the holidays over the year.
I came up with this!
They were so much fun and really easy to stamp - think you may have already guessed it uses the Swirly Birds stamp set. A great set with swirls and dots and lots else as well.
Really simple to do as well, a couple of bits of card angled to make a triangle top and a couple of post it notes to hold them in place with one flat across the bottom for the base- easy!
This one used the clear facet gems; they are lovely and shiny and the picture doesn't do them justice at all.
A few rhinestones for a bit of bling; I have to admit that these are the old rhinestones but the new ones are just as pretty and shiny.
I cannot get enough of the Finely woven ribbon and love it in Fresh Fig, one of the new incolours.
Finally one of the Metallic Foil Doilies- they come in a set with both gold and silver of varying sizes so a great product to have on hand.
The kids even had a go, and the various colour combinations are never ending! Add a few embellishments and they're done. Think this might even be one of my Christmas card designs this year and not a Seasonal stamp set in sight, except for a sentiment.
Which one is your favourite?

ReplyDeleteJust too clever! Such a fabulous idea. If I had to choose I would pick the spotty Fresh Fig one but shhhhh ... don't tell the others. Thanks for organising a great hop for us.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Love the way you used the stampset :-)
ReplyDeleteMight have to case it ;-)
