Paper Shares are Open - would you like lovely papers?

I absolutely adore Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers and the ones in this catalogue are particulary beautiful.....however if you wanted them all, like I do, the cost can seem a bit much £134 all up!

Well how about if you just had to pay a small fraction of that and still get and amazing amount of Designer Series Papers?

I know I'd like to......

How it works:

The Designer Series Paper packs come with paper that is 12" x 12" and most paper shares cut all the paper into 6" x 6"; I've decided however to leave the sheets as large as I can to enable you to make the most out of your paper.  Some will be 6" x 6", some will be 12" x 6" and some will remain 12" x 12"!  The Designer Series Paper Stacks come in 6" x 6" only.

Instructions for Butterfly Card

As you will be aware, instructions are not my strong point, but I promised the Freebie Friday winners that I'd share how the card was made, so here they are!

The Butterfly Card

You will need extra glue; wet glue preferable

Step 1

Attach the card mat to the card base - I'd advise use a wet glue as this gives you some wiggle room to move it around till its straight. If you don't have any, double sided tape/tape runner will do

Step 2

Attach the insert to the card; again using wet glue

Step 3

Attaching the ribbon - double sided tape already attached

Start to pull off white top of the tape and attach the ribbon, keeping pulling the white off as you zigzag the ribbon;  alternatively you can pull off white part of tape and attach all at once

Attach this piece to the card front -you might want to add some wet glue to ensure it stays in place

Step 4

Make up the butterfly

Put wet glue on the larger butterfly

Put the smaller butterfly on the larger one and then put wet glue on the base of the smaller one

Step 5

Attach the completed butterfly to the card front and your card is completed

Hope you enjoyed making the card up and congratulations on winning a Freebie Friday prize!  I'd love to see the finished cards so please pop a picture on my Facebook Page

Stampin' Stars and Twinklets Blog Hop - The NEW Annual 2016 /17 catalogue

I am so glad that you are joining all of us on this Stampin' Stars and Twinklets blog hop to show off the new 2016/17 annual catalogue.  Hope you're excited, I know I am now that it is finally live!!

If you have arrived here from Fiona's blog after seeing her fantastic creations, Welcome, if you have found your way here by some other route, also Welcome.

Make sure to follow the blog hop links at the end of the page to hop through all the blogs, the journey will amaze you. If you get a bit lost during your journey don't fret as all the links are at the bottom of the page so you'll always find a path.

Right, got your coffee? Got a Danish or biscuit to keep you going?  Then sit back and enjoy your journey looking at lots of new products from the new Annual Catalogue.

My Annual catalogue journey actually started a few months ago when I got to see a copy at a Stampin' Up! event in Telford - lots of perks being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, that's just one!

As part of that event I actually won, yes won, the stamp set that I'm showcasing today - Labeler Alphabet.

When I first tried this set, I'm not going to lie, it wasn't the easiest to use, but after a bit of practice, I fell in love!  The is no limit to it's uses and you can create whatever sentiment you desire! The sky is the limit with this set.

As it's been midterm break here, I decided to get my children helping out and make Father's day cards!

With this set they were able to choose their sayings! That was great as they weren't just having to use a standard saying from my supplies.

My eldest designed this:

He really liked the fact that there are duplicate letters in the set so he could put the whole sentiment on one block, stamp and cut...no having the fill in gaps!  The little stars also come in the set. You might notice too that he decided to use one of the new in-colours Peek-a-boo peach and they all love the bigshot so out came the new Layering Squares Framelits.

My middle son was over the moon when he saw the # sign in the set and he was off making this!

He enjoyed not having just the normal sayings to use but making something that he wanted - a very versatile set as you can see!  He used another new in-colour Emerald Green and of course he couldn't be out down by his brother so out came the bigshot for him - but he wanted a bit of an edge to his design so layered the inside square on an angle and came up with these wonky shapes as I like to call them, on the bottom of the card.

Can you also pick that he cutout and framed the top square so his sentiment is actually on the inside of the card, popped up on lots of dimensionals?  He's my crafty son! and in fact if it wasn't for him I never would have heard of Stampin' Up! So guess I need to let in loose in the craft area every now and again!

Finally my toddler knew what he wanted to say, but needed a bit of Mummy's help - the Labeler Alphabet stamps are quite small so you do need a bit of patience to set them all up and as he's just 3 doesn't really have that! I stamped them individually, then cut out the letters by hand and then stuck them on to pieces of very vanilla cardstock; that meant we could have them at the angle he wanted.

He also got to choose his colours; new in-colours Dapper Denim and Flirty Flamingo and he also chose the elephants from the Lots of Love stamp set; an exclusive Stampin' Rewards set that you can only get with orders over a certain amount: Like it? Want it? just get in contact and I can give you more details.

The set doesn't come with 2 elephants and I used a super technique to get them facing each other, but that's for another time as you'll be wanting to see what other fantastic creations are on the bloghop so I won't keep you!

Now it's time to move on, you might need a coffee refill so get that before you go on, as there's still lots to see!
